1. Right-click the Fallen Earth .app and select "Show Package Contents"

2. Dbl-click on the WineskinSettings file(has a Fallen Earth icon)

3. In the WInskin settings window that pops up select 'Set Screen Options'

4. Under "Rootless Options" Select 'Virtual Desktop' instead of Normal WIndows, then using the Resolution drop down directly above, select your desired resolution for the game.

5. Click 'Save and Exit', then Click 'Quit'

6. Run the FallenEarh app as normal.

PS yea I know I typoed on the subject line :( cant edit that, hit SUBMIT too soon

The game will launch in a Virtual Desktop window, and you will find you can move the Launcher window around. The main caveat is you cannot move the Fallen Earth window itself around BUT you can access the desktop pretty easy (the mouse is not captured or anything like that)

Right now I am running a FE window of 1440x900 on a 1650x1000 desktop

Next, how to get a 'pseudo' full screen view and actually get screen resolution controls under the in-game options.

1. Make sure FE is still set to open in 'WIndowed' mode.
2. Run the wineskin setting app as described above
3. Set your desired resolution
4. Select 'Fullscreen' instead of 'Rootless'
5. make sure 'Virtual Desktop' is selected under 'Rootless' options
6. Save your settings and run the FE app again.

You will find you get a full screen 'virtual' desktop (most noticeable if you choose a resolution in WIneskins smaller than the desktop resolution (the resolution of the virtual desktop will remain the same as your normal desktop.

If you open the Options in game, you will see you now have screen resolution options available (though I found the game crashes if I try to change them).

Its playable this way..I ran a new toon through the dam in this mode

Possible Problems with these modes.

I have one character logged out in Oasis, but the game client crashes when I try to load that one with these methods, but a new one seems to do just fine. Might have to take a peek at the congig files for my character, maybe delete them and see if that helps.

This works great! thanks so much for the tip, this should be implemented the the next beta build!

You can fix this, but this may (will?) increase the chances of crashes
Use at your own RISK.

Open WineskinSettings
Click Advanced
Click Wineskin Tools
Click Run Wine Config (winecfg.exe)
Click the tab labeled Graphics
Check "Allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their window"
Check "Allow the window manager to decorate the window"
Check "Allow the window manager to control the window"
Click Okay
